Very heavy rock with hole

While digging in the flower bed (in Ohio), I found this small but very heavy rock with an almost round hole. There are round ridges around the hole, but it almost looks like it has been smashed, as it is not perfectly round. Magnets do not stick to the rock. The rock does not leave any markings when scraped on paper. Is it some sort of old lead weight? Or an old piece of farming equipment?

Odd... I've not seen anything like that before. Very cool find.

I've got to watch this thread-

Hopefully I'll learn something new again!

It is all one solid piece so I don't think it's a clamp, but it is about that size. And there is no rust at all on it...it looks like rock that has been chiseled into this shape, like an arrowhead would have been chiseled. It doesn't look like metal, except for possibly lead???
