The lady was just pounding a Moving Sale sign into the ground at the end of her driveway -
i asked if she was open yet - she said "not for a couple hours, but if you want to come up and poke around you can "
I got a little pile of stuff together and paid her .She then asked me if I liked old dolls , I said no they scare me , but can I take a look . - she said they were in the shed way out in the back yard , under the bench .
I checked them out , and yes , very creepy . She said most of them were her mothers who was born in 1922 .

I asked "how much ? She said " make me an offer" I said " I have no idea , after all , they were your Mother's " She said " how about $4.00 for all of them - SOLD !

as I was loading stuff into my truck . She said " my husband and I think they're haunted , that's why we put them out back in the shed "

There not in the best condition - I hate how they open their eyes when you pick them up !

Yup thats creepy! Did you ask her why she thought they were haunted? I have had my share of ghost experiences, so hoping you can sell them with out taking them home..

Well if you look under otherstuff wierd at ebay..some people have quite a racket going on selling a modern marble for example, as a magical money attractor and getting very good money for it. It bothers me preying on peoples weaknesses with stuff like that. However! There are a few haunted dolls (and other things) that go for fairly good good money. In your case you can honestly tell the story..you are not making it up and let the buyer judge. They surely are creepy looking!

That doll has Chuckies' eyes! Sleep well...

I 'm ducktaping the lid tonight - they're going out to the barn - the guitar , leaning on the wall over in the corner of the room - just played 2 chords ! I'm the only one in the room , except for the dolls . I'm not making this up . The dog and our 2 cats are sound asleep on the couch , in the other room . I'm not sure what caused the guitar to play , but the dolls are going to sleep in the barn tonight .

better get some garlic and put it around your neck on a catgut string....

You'll do well, if you can keep them long enough to sell:angel7:

I hate old dolls. CREEPY!!!

sell them quickly * doll's often become "haunted" items , due to great emotional bonds the dead often had with them

Yikes. sounds like you should sell them quickly. Some people, for whatever reason LOOK for haunted items. Why on earth people would search out such things is beyond me. Its bad enough when you run into a spirit accidentally if you have not been taught how to deal with that.

Was and episode of Dead Files where a woman had hundreds of dolls in her house, and it was haunted. The psychic on the show
said dolls are "vessels for spirits' . Enjoy!!!

Note to self never buy old dolls, after hearing "Ivans"and "Desertmoons" comment....My wife use to see her dolls with no teeth smile at her when she was young kids..."SPOOKY"

No wonder she sold them so cheap... she took you that is for sure...sweet little old lady my @$$... lol

Yep  My thoughts exactly. The uglier the better, add the story, You may have hit the jackpot :laughing7:

Creepy and unusual stuff is usually a good seller. There are people that will spend the cash on it.

there are people that are creepy by nature and that buy and love "creepy" stuff and "haunted stuff" --they can have it all * no haunted goods for me.

i dont think good spirits like most on here have anything to worry about bad spirits know who to go after.

I once bought a cookie jar at the swap meet. My sister collected them so I always kept an eye out. This particular
cookie jar was of a jovial king who appeared to be laughing. It was very cartoonish, not formal or elaborate at all.
The lady selling it only wanted .25 cents for it, so I snagged it. As I was paying for it, she laughed and said it was haunted. I asked her to explain. She said her husband told her more than once that when he sat on the couch at night watching tv, that dang thing would laugh at him. He wanted it gone. I just smiled and paid her the quarter and walked away. I literally took two steps and a guy tapped me on the shoulder and offered me ten bucks for it. I politely said no, and he offered me twenty. By this point in my cookie jar forays, I knew a McCoy from a Hull or a Japanese throw away.
This particular jar had been dropped (or maybe had a shoe tossed at it lol) and glued back together, negating any collector value. I sold it for twenty bucks on the spot and walked away laughing. Some people dig creepy stuff. I told my sister and she laughed and said she would have done exactly the same thing. Easiest twenty bucks I ever made in my life.
