My experience with greenstone is from the other end of the continent, the Franciscan-GreatValley contact facies in the Coast Ranges and Mother Lode belts. The Coast Range greenstones no gold (because no batholith hydrothermal activity) but the high pressure low temperature formation history of these ultramafics created great rockhounding.
Just down the road from me an ancient paleo Indian site was found and a lot of serpentine artifacts were found. And strangely a lot of the serpentine wasn't from Vermont
