I use the front shoulders of the deer to make barbeque if I'm not taking it to the butcher.
1 Medium onion diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Salt to Taste
Pepper to Taste
Your favorite barbeque sauce
Put both front shoulders in a large stock pot. Fill with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 2 1/2 hours or until you notice the meat pulling away from the bone. Drain off water. Using a fork shred meat off bone, picking out and gristle or fat. Put meat into crock pot; add onion, garlic, salt, pepper and barbeque sauce to desired thickness. Cook in crock pot on low about 4 hours. Serve on rolls.
