Vein found going after deeper

Hello everybody,

I was out yesterday up the side of the mountain and came across this vein with coloration on the quartz’s. So I dug up about a foot of it. I did not come across gold nuggets but may today when I go back. So far I have about a 1.5 foot wide by 1 foot height. Lots of flakey black and gold colored flakes. I do not know if it is gold. I am hoping to dig bigger today and expose more. Here are some pictures.




Any thoughts on wether it might be gold. Found and 29 oz so far of the flakey stuff and lots more there.

I don’t see any gold in the pictures but that’s not to say there isn’t any. Post a picture of the flakey stuff. By your term “flakey” I’m gonna guess it’s not.

The third picture sitting on the quartz’s is a about a 1.5 inch square of the flakes piled up with what looks like a gold color

Looks like pyrite.
