Vehicle or equipment badge & brass circles?
Found these detecting at an older homestead (though I know these probably aren't so old). It was a working farm from probably the early 1800's through the early 1990's. I assume the badge came off a vehicle/tractor or some piece of equipment, but I just can't place it. The brass/copper/bronze circles look a lot like 'punch-outs' from an electrical box or something, but usually there are bits of 'tabs' where they were attached--the edges on these are perfect all the way around. Any thoughts?
It's obvious that the badge ends in "man '60'", but there appears to be the bottom of another letter just above the 'm'--possibly an 'S'. (The back of the badge is simply bare, silver colored metal). There are holes on each side at the top where the badge was probably riveted on, most likely at the original center line of the plate.
(The other item in the pic is a NYS dog license, dated 1947.)
