Found this today, looks early 20th Century. Any help with ID?

I have a suspicion that it is a headbadge from a Newport bicycle made by S & F Swell of Little Falls, NY.

Thanks for the help, logo is SHF, not sure what that stands for though. I have a hunch that you may be correct lets see what the others say.

Snyder & Fisher maybe? (see add) I think "Swell Newport" was the model.

I think you just solved it! It was sold for $36 back in 1899 (a lot of money back then) Thanks so much!

I have to say, it's pretty amazing to have a bicycle badge that old, near the start of bicycle history.

The intertwined letters are, I believe, HPS, which is H.P.Snyder
