Called today to make sure my order was in and I was told she was on vacation. The teller I got was very very nice, her sister wants to play softball and just moved to Florida. I was able to give her some information on leagues and tournaments to forward on to her sister. After a five minute discussion she said that she would go speak with the vault teller and put me on hold. The lady who originally orders my halves didn't order for this week(That is OK, vacation is more important, you need to
sharpen the wheel sometimes), but the assistant vault manager said she would order them and they would be here next
Monday. Then the teller went on to tell me that she would save all the halves she gets and will call me when she accumulates
some.
I do so much love it when an unexpected and totally nice surprise happens.
I had a lady approach me two weeks ago and said that she had lost her job and needed some money for a motel room for her and her daughter for one night. Her father was on his way down to pick them up when she lost her job to take her back to NY, she couldn't reach him as he had no cell phone. She went on to tell me that she was a house cleaner and lived pretty much day to day, she gave me her name which I did write down. I got back to work and looked her up in our computer, her child had just withdrawn from school the previous day. I gave her $40.00 dollars, she asked for my address to return it to and I told her "Pay It Forward". I truly believed
her statement, she looked me in the eye the whole time and never looked away. The pleading I saw was authentic so I had no
problem helping her out and the fact(afterwards) her child was withdrawn from school only supports her story more. Looks like it pays to help people out when they are hurting.
