Varsity medal?

At first I thought this was an old coin but it's not...any ideas?

My first thought is that it's a varsity medal of some sort.

I think you are exactly right! Looks like a high school or college letter jacket medal! Here is a picture of one I found last summer. Looks really similar ! Good little find ! To bad it's not made out of the same thing that ring on your finger is made out of LOL!!! Good hunting! The Kid
