Minelab Vanquish 540 Pro
Garrett ACE 350
Minelab SD2200V2
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
This is the 1st chance to run the beach since I got the Vanquish 540 last year.
I used the large 12" coil to cover more area.
I'm totally blown away how stable it is in salty wet sand as well as in the water.
Stable and super silent after dropping 2 notches in sensitivity.
All I found is quarters, dimes and a few pennies.
The depth is well above what I expected and go easily 6 to 8 inches and finds a dime.
I only was digging when it was 20 or above but these beaches are clean with not much trash.
The pin pointer mode was super easy to get a target in focus before digging.
I easily picked up small metal fishing leaders with very little problem at 6"
I probably found 8 to 10 dollars mostly quarters and dimes as I said.

Very happy in the V540 performance.

Good review! The Minelab Vanquish 540 being a multi-frequency makes it an EXCELLENT machine!

I had a Nox 800 ,I fell on hard times and I was force to sell it ,However I replaced it with the 540 and I like the 540 just as well if not better than the ENox 800
Glad you are out hunting still!

I love to hunt in Jewelry Mode with the Vanquish. Don't pass on those low-tones if you have the time to dig it all. Good luck!

I have a boat load of detectors and I find the 540 to be unbeatable. Backlight is also very welcome as Florida is hot and muckey so night hunting is the norm.
