This is the 1st chance to run the beach since I got the Vanquish 540 last year.
I used the large 12" coil to cover more area.
I'm totally blown away how stable it is in salty wet sand as well as in the water.
Stable and super silent after dropping 2 notches in sensitivity.
All I found is quarters, dimes and a few pennies.
The depth is well above what I expected and go easily 6 to 8 inches and finds a dime.
I only was digging when it was 20 or above but these beaches are clean with not much trash.
The pin pointer mode was super easy to get a target in focus before digging.
I easily picked up small metal fishing leaders with very little problem at 6"
I probably found 8 to 10 dollars mostly quarters and dimes as I said.
Very happy in the V540 performance.
