Went back to the farm where I grabbed that 1913 Barber Dime and hunted for another 3 hours. I was telling Don that since it is 9-11 that we should find a coin that had those numbers in it. Well we started out with a bang and got a 1909 Wheatie, no mint or VDB Oh well, great start. I went about three feet and dug another wheat, this time a 1910. Don on the other hand grabbed up a 1900 Injun while I went another couple feet and got the next wheat....you guessed it...a 1911. I thought to myself go play the lottery now Then Don got another Injun, this time an 1899. He was going down in dates and I was going up. Strange....
I finished up with two 1920 wheaties but was denied the elusive silver this time. We shall return early next week to continue this patch of productive land. Goodluck out there and be safe.
Ps. What the heck is that thing in the photo with the Injun I will post it on the What is it column too.
