Got out early and went to an old fall back site, two huge lots where houses were torn down.? I thought I'd better get back there while I can as a sign went up saying a new Methodist church was going up on the lots soon.? The first lot was where a 2 story garage apartment stood and the other was a fairly nice single story home,? I knew the children of the former property owners as I went to school with them,? Could not find a trace of the two story building at all!? ?The lot was stripped and graded level.? The second house had a concrete pad of some sort still remaining, probably a backyard patio, and I? could kind of orient on that.? Sorry, no silver today just 4 or 5 old Hotwheels buried along a fence line, a golf ball incidental and some rusted hinges, looks like off a storage shed?? I have the Hotwheels soaking in detergent and warm water to clean them up a bit and then I will take some pics and post them.? Monty

Pics now!? Thought scoop was old until I saw Tiawan stamped on it!? It has 5 oz on the other side.? Five oz. of what? The little panel truck is NYCFD, brought to mind 9/11 Monty

Nothing wrong with that Monty.

I would add them to my "Used Car Lot". Besides, it will give you something to play with on those rainy days. VVRRRooooommmmmmm !! ;D

Cool finds Jim! I'd try to figure out where the driveway was and the entrance to the house and try to detect around there! I found a bunch of coins in my gravel driveway.

These little cars are not from the era of my youth and I can't explain how they got there.? The oldest one was dated 1986 and the lots had been vacant several years by then.? I has been constantly grown up in weeds since about the mid 70s.? There is a newer daycare center nect door and perhaps some of the kids threw them over the fence?? It's a mystery to me.? I'll go back when the church construkction starts and they cut the grade with heavy equipment.? I got a lot of signals at or below 12" deep that I did not digdue to the dry hard clay .? I suspect many of them are aluminum cans or large rusted iron objects from past experience diggilng similar signals.? Monty

I am wondering if I am the hotwheels king of the forum? I found 13 at one site, seven or eight in my own yard and about a dozen others one or two at a time and now these! I give them to my Granddaughter and she has a big plastic bag full of them.

Great cars! Gonna hit a freshly graded very old lot myself in the next couple of days. No house has ever been there.....but it's in a really old neighborhood. Outta be fun!

Happy Hunting!
