VA Beach hunting with AT PRO?

Getting ready to take the wife to VA Beach for Mother's Day. Wanted to get some hunting in while I was there and the machine I have is an AT PRO. I know the AT PRO is not a "beach detector" but wanted to see if anyone has tried using one there and get an idea of what issues I might run into and possibly how to mitigate those.

worked fine for me...dry sand and wet.seemed more stable in regular mode...turned down sensitivity in wet sand and shallow water...no probs for me.
