- Excalibur,
most my 27 years of beach and water hunting has been fresh water beaches and lakes, not dealing with the some many people around you, well I learn here at va beach, ocean hunting takes a lot of hard work, dealing with the 2 to 3 ft waves the out going of the wave pulling your search coil out to sea , it wear your arms out quick. unlike fresh water lake hunt. also so my people watching every move you make, and then having some stand there an watch you dig you signal, and standing less then a foot away from the hole your digging, I had one little one try and help me dig with his hands, then others walking with you down the beach talking to you asking you what you find ,what’s the best thing you ever found, did you find any treasure. what’s the best thing you every found, where you get the detector. did you make your scoop. how much you pay for that machine? what radio station you listening to. and after all this you do the best you can to be nice, cant people tell when someone wearing headphones don’t ask them this and that. its just apart of this hobby. I don’t look at what something is worth, a ring, coin, of anything else, it a hobby to me, I do it for the enjoyment of it. like those who fish and hunt, do you have people asking you how much is that fish worst? are the deer you shoot? NO!!! after 27 years of metal detecting. I still here the same thing over and over. some of the good ones was , I was at an old church hunting the yard this old lady told me its over there. ?? I ask what, the gas line she said. Your looking for the gas line right, I said yes thank you... also had one guy ask me something and I said cant hear you with these headphone on, he reply was well take them off. but after all this over the years I kept my cool and still enjoy this fun hobby, one thing that does help me is I speak TAGALOG, so when im asked something I just say , sorry I don’t speak English, "heard that before" and it works great..here the run down from today, low tide at 4:36pm started hunting 1 hour before low tide, after hunting Max called me and ask if we like to eat out, went to a place called mayflower, very good food as you can see. Low tide tim was there also with his wife, thursday wave are to be only 1ft high, hoping to get down in the mine then and get some ticket, max said he be there 3 hours before low tide,
