I have about 2 years of experience with the v3 I own and I want to make this machine work better and better all the time. Is there a link someone can share that has the settings listed for a real trashy park? Mostly looking for coins but the occasional gold beep ill dig. Seems when I hit tall grass or a weed the thing will sound off prematurely. I want to avoid that and I want to avoid foil and junk metals as much as possible. Just looking for what setting you all prefer. I have been using foxs c and j program from the whites site.

Make sure you are using a smaller coil in trashy areas. I like my 6X10 or 4X6 for the trash. Go slow with you swing speed. The Fox c&j program is a good one. I find a lot of gold rings in the foil range ( like 16 to 20 VDI).

I have been digging a lot of 0-11. What are the chances that ill pull gold with this VDIS ?

I've detecting for only 1 year and have yet to find gold. But, I have seen many hundreds of posts on different forums on this subject...this is the range where small/thin gold chains, some earrings and daintiest of rings can fall. Ya either gotta dig to find out for sure OR be willing to pass up the chance.

Gold rings and bracelets can be found in the VDI range -5 to 50 maybe 55. Depends on the Karat of the gold. Most of the rings I've found were 0 to 30. Some of the nicest were 0, 16, 17, 22, 25 and 28. Dig the trash and for every 30 targets (approx) one will be gold.

Look for magic's program for the deep stuff works really good in trash as well, he's got it set to tick on the iron which will come in handy when looking for those old home sites. I know for a fact he can get those deep silver dimes at 10"+ as I've detected with him before, he should have it on the White's site somewhere. HH

I found magics program and I will try it some time soon. Been using yazoos program. Finding it to be really sporadic. I need to ply with the setting a little more to clean it up. Getting good beeps bit not good repeating beeps. Any clue what I need to change ?

Sensitivity, disc & or change ur ground filter start with ur ground filtre should clear it up

I xm figure out sens but at what point is disc overkill and what is your best opinion on the ground filter ?

What I do on my ground well I mainly run it low when ur out & just set it how u want find something good with a repeatable signal go through all ur filters if u pay close attention to ur graphs u can c which one will b best generally lower the filter lower ur swing speed & once u got ur choice on a low ground filter swinch back between high pass & band I do forget one of the,2,is alot better when EMI is present I will usually keep my disc at 67-77 pending where I am im also using mainly a 10x12sef coil to
