V Nickel!

Hello Forum,

It’s been unseasonably warm here in Upstate NY, and I was able to get out to the woods for a couple of hours. I managed to find this coin. Originally I thought it was an Indian Head Penny. While cleaning, I realized the size didn’t seem right. Then I realized that this was a V Nickel! Thanks for looking.

Isn't it amazing to be able to find a lonely single coin in a place like that? It often amazes me to see one in such a setting, where it would remain undisturbed virtually forever if the MD had not found it.
