Using a B.H Lonestar to search a river?

the coil should be waterproof if it has no cracks of any kind in it---do not take the control box in the water it will kill it ----seal the spot were wire goes into coil with waterproof sealer ---do not get water in the control box period---shallow water only so you don't trip fall and drop it in ---BH'ers can get unstable some times around water areas---so remember to turn "down" the power/sen and trun "up"up the disc.this often will settle them down a bit but no more than is need to settle it as it cause a bit of depth loss--(its a trade off)---do not allow the water to run back up the shaft into the housing by laying it flat keep it up right for a good bit till your sure theres no water in the shaft --good hunt and good luck ---Ivan
