The helmet is a P-1 series as you can tell from the liner label (from the 1950's, P-1B is a P-1A, the helmet was to be replaced by the P-2, but due to Korea was brought back and called a P-1B although there was no difference/change between the P-1A and P-1B). The helmet appears to never had a visor attached to it, can't see the communication cord hook-up on the outside of the helmet (typically on the left side). Helmet has been painted, the original Air Force decal is missing/painted over (should be on the top front of helmet). So it's a basic shell. As with anything the price is what the person is willing to pay for it. I built, inspected, and maintained helmets in the AF, that was part of my job as an Aircrew Life Support Technician. I have a couple flight helmets myself. A HGU-26/P, a HGU-55/P, a HGU-39/P also called a SPH-4 and a TK-1 (Chinese High Altitude Helmet).
Added, although the liner assembly shows P-1B and P-3 series, The helmet itself can be a P-1 on up. I would have to get back into the Technical Orders to see which helmet it actually is.
