This was an eye find two days ago while driving. I saw this thing on the side of the road as I drove by and it looked interesting, so I turned around and drove back, parked, and went and got it. My family always teases me because I do this every so often and it pays off about half the time. The other half are wasted time as the item is a piece of junk and not what I thought it was while driving by.

Anyway, this item is a United States placard of some type. It has a stainless steel, silver colored, round backing and the US flag is attached to it.

I am posting it here to see if anyone knows what it is off of.
My guess would be a Harley motorcycle but I am not sure.

Thanks for looking!

Normally mounts on the grill or bumper of an older car. Also used on motorcycles.. You can find them at sports car accessory shops on the web. Different flags. British, U.S., etc. Must have fallen off a car or bike.. Still being made today.. :D

Thanks a lot for the comments.
I'll have to keep my eyes open during the Woodward Dreamcruise in August for a car or bike with this on it.

Smiles!

Old memories...of past lives...

Sometimes known as Rally Plaques...used to represent the marque of a car, a country, sports car club membership, or a particular car show or rally. Very popular with 1950' thru 1960 English and European sports car enthusiasts.

Usually mounted on the radiator grill of my old MGTC, and sometimes on the dash board.
