US & USA BUTTON DAY !

OK, All can say is FREZING outside, but worth the trip to a new area with permission to hunt. After walking and freezing my but off. First signal that was about 9 inches deep, that I still can't believe that I found one. It's my first US button to date. I have been doing this since I was a kid with my dad. We started way back in 1972, man I wish we could go back to those days when there were a lot of virgin territory. Silver back then was very common on every hunt. Anyway back to the story, the ground is almost frozen to the point that I can almost say it's over for me here in Cape Cod unless I do the beaches now. My eyes were watering to say the least. I only found two good targets, I was freezing, could hardly feel my fingers. Second target of the day was a USA button, unbelievable this hobby is. I lasted about 40 minutes till I just couldn't bear it any longer. Now I can't wait for the Spring thaw or a warmer day to try this spot out.... RESEARCH helped me find this little parcel of land that I have been by all my life... wow persistence does PAY off. Happy Holidays to everyone.

I remember when I found my first. The site was right out my back door and I hunted and hunted and hunted and couldn't find the 2nd. Finally I had pretty much given up and was cutting through another part of the field to get to the river and I dug what I thought was a coin, but after getting home it turned out to be my 2nd button. It took several months but it was there! And yours might be too.

Did the exact same thing with my 2 GW buttons! They were found almost a year apart, in the same fielded area.
