Hello Friends,

I'm certain someone here will be able to ID this. This tag is the size of a quarter and, as you can see, there are three bendable prongs on the back. As always, thank you for your time and thoughts!

You're right about WWI era. These were equipment tags that can be found on belts, packs, etc. And, yes, infantry. These can also be found for cavalry, chemical corps, signal corps, etc.

Hello Friends,

I'm certain someone here will be able to ID this. I've found lots of various military buttons and things at this location, but this is the first one of these tags I've come across. It was an active site during WW1 and WW2. I suspect this is WW1 related... This tag is the size of a quarter and, as you can see, there are three bendable prongs on the back. It is also stamped with "4 M 4". Possible infantry designation? I have no idea! As always, thank you for your time and thoughts!
