This same model spans many years. You should find a date on the base of the large blade when opened. I have a few like it from the 1960's.

Nice ID, we still have them in our shop stores.

If there is not a date or manufacturers name on the large blade it could be from WWII. Also, the can-opener blade varied a bit, so seeing that would help date it. You might take a close look at the attachment loop to see if theres a manufacturers name on it as well.

Yea.. I have boxes of them laying around... without the "USMC" label... same knife...

Thanx all for your help.Also, i am happy to say that i found a MARINE willin to git it a good home where it belongs.In a MARINES pocket.I'll be mailin it to him tomorrow.
