Hello all, and thanks for looking. Found this last week and cannot identify it specifically. 2 /4 wide and 2 1/8 tall. US Marine of course but it doesn't look like a belt buckle to me since it doesn't have anything on the back that might latch a belt loop. Comes up as an 80 on my AT Pro which is copper but it feels like Pewter and weight in at just under 2 ounces. Would love to know what it is, and any help would be great. IMG_3106.webpIMG_3107.webp

Hello Btoots. Nice find. I am no expert on buckles but that is what it looks like to me. Maybe the center indent on the back pressed over a base latching piece. Looks like you found the better half.

You should go back and find the rest of it...let me know when you are ready. Good Luck. C9

if it had bent back wrap around edges.... I might think a strap item for a rifle sling ..but it does have that "buckle" of some sort look to it ..
