Hello,
We ended up with a few more interesting finds this evening. In addition to an 1891 Indian Head Cent, 1891 Dime, and 1848 Large Cent, we found the following unidentifiable coin:
We can decipher:
There appears to be a male facing right.
The face is circled by 13? stars.
There are ridges on the edge of the face of the coin.
The year seems to end with an “8”, however it could be a “3”.
The reverse contains a shield, with a circle of stars in the top center.
There appears to be an arrow in the top right corner of the reverse.
We have been researching for hours, but have not come across anything similar.
