I live on Gold Coast of Long Island and wouldn't be allowed 200 feet from one of those estates without being arrested. The richer the area, the more they dislike the idea of metal detecting. That's why I tend to metal detect in the "hood", a lot of old places to hunt and no one bothers you. I have to deal with a lot of old English and st. Ides malt liqueur screw caps but hey it's worth it. I rather be harassed by a local drunkard than a stupid cop. No offense to any cops on here.

What ever we have here has probably been classified as historic, and off limits.

Glen Ellen Castle is in the Baltimore City watershed area located about 2 miles above the Lochraven dam in Baltimore County. The foundations are the only remains and they are on dry land. Frank...-
