A few more photos. I only get a short time to visit this place in the spring and in the fall before hunting season. It's a mile and a half drive from off the main road and then a 20min. walk. It's a good time in the woods.
Sounds awesome! I need to find a hotspot like that around here!

Awesome finds ! I'm headed to the adirondacks this summer hopefully I get some good stuff. Some of my best finds were up there. Great area and great history up there.

Dutch- Nice finds!! Nice free stack of stone, upstate is doted with them and each one is way cool! Note 2 self if stuck in a upstate ny cellar hole -exit side with no wall!! ED

Don't be to jealous I live in the adirondacks this one is exceptional .
Usually there covered in brush and thorns lots of briars and garbage thrown everywhere .
But sometimes:hello2:

There doesn't seam to be any depression I doubt it's a well but what the.?

That stone work is great
Just the circular formation is strange and interesting.
Yeah the stone work is amazing! Someone took a lot of time with that. Do you know any history on the place? Any signs the house burnt?

Where are the outhouse's=Good old glassssss!!!!!!!!!!!!

The homestead I'm hunting at has a similar stone circle out in front of it. I assumed it was a fire circle... I haven't dug it yet.
