Hello All-
After hearing the voice of reason I thought I'd show alittle of my Finds...The main reason I don't show is that my Picture Capabilities are truly lacking. My scanner is on the fritz...

Don't get me wrong I always wanted to show my goodies...but I'm no techy.

These are just a few to show...

The Coinage was found in different areas, while the Silver Assay was found dare I say in a Tot-Lot...
I sure didn't expect that.

It's been awhile...My job keeps me locked up...My family takes the rest of my time. I think I'll get out SOON!!!

Pic1 is the front of a 1875s Tade Dollar...found around a old tree in between its Roots
Pic2 of course is the back
Pic3 is the front of 2 of my 3 Duits-the one on the left is a 1787 and the right is a 1754

Pic5 is the Front of the 1981 Assay Silver Ingot

Pic7 is the front of a 1922 Peace Dollar...found at 4 inches down. A 1889o Morgan Dollar found in Clay

Trade dollars can be very valuable... barring they're not counterfeit. A lot of counterfeits were made all over the world and they aren't worth much.

Thanks Silverfreak...I can only dream that I'll be a stud like you one day. A lot of you guys on this forum make me WANT TO BE LIKE MIKE. I've been hunting on and off since my Army days as a 12B. The very first metal detector weighed 25 plus pounds and was used to sweep for anti-tank mines and anti-personel mines. By accident I found a merc dime with it and I've been hooked ever since.

Interesting play on words...I think we all ask ourselves that. But believe me it's a lot better than some of the other unsavory things that one could do. For some its scoring that certain item for wealth; some like the rush, some do it to preserve history and save it for future generations. For others like myself its all about the love of the Hobby.
