This was a long week in the kitchen(52 hours in 5 days). Fortunately, I did some detecting after work. I found a 2 wheats, another merc, half a gun and a buckle in the woods in east hampton on route 27, got some clad and a bracelet at the beach, but it's silver plated. Rang up in the nickel range and was hoping for gold. I did find an 1883 IH cent, the 15th this year and first since my break from the Culinary Institute where I found 14. So I began the week good and ended the week good and didn't do so well in between, which was similar to my work performance. Four dollars in clad is still pretty good for the week, considering about an hour a night x 4( clad pics are getting too boring)Here's pics of the good stuff Picture 016.jpg
The coins are 1917 d wheat, 1940 merc, a readable only under the loupe 1920 wheat.

And here's a closeup with the bracelet around it. I'm getting used to the deeper coin signals. The wheats next to the indian in the pic were 6-6.5" deep and gave off broken signals with few 75-80 tones. The Indian gave off a 78 beep, then a 20 grunt, and sounded like iron when sweeped over the center. I'm learning that i can't trust the DFX's target ID below 6" and am starting to use all metal mode more and go for the deep signals. Clad here is falling to 4-5 inches, but the good stuff is still down there, hiding from my cherrypicking of solid signals.

And the indian streak continues today! Last week, I got permission to hunt some old houses in Jamesport. I didn't find anything but clad last week, but this week another landowner guided me to one of his houses. I hunted for a short time and found a 1901 Indian head and a 1964 D nickel. The area used to be a religious meeting ground and there's houses and woods. A neighbor told me she found some old bottles in a swamp. Maybe I'll search there sometime. I welcome anyone who wants to hunt with me. I usually have Wednesday and Thursday off. Here's the Pic
