I went back to the bank I got the $500 1973D half dollars and asked if she brought in anything else.
She did.
Full box $1000 Sm dollars.
They seem to be a pretty even mix of 1979 Susan B Anthony and 2000D Sscagawea.
AnAnything worth searching for?
I would imagine that she got this in 2000.

I almost forgot this extra roll also.
Looks like a solid roll of 2000P

This is easy. 1979 P SBA dollars come in 2 types. The Near Date/Wide Rim 1979 P SBA is the money ($20/each). Check the 2000P Sac's for the Cheerio Dollar differentiated by a unique reverse die. The middle tail feathers will be in a chevron pattern. That die was only used on a unique promotion in which 5500 Sac dollars were randomly included with the packaging. A specimen can fetch $2500.

Also, since it is a mix of coins look for the '81 SBAs. They were only available in mint sets.

Sscagawea . . .

There were 5500 of 2000P minted with enhanced tail feather reverse before the die design was permanently changed.
But, all 5500 were sent to General Mills to be placed in cards in Cheerios boxes. It is unlikely that you would find any in a uncirculated roll.

EDIT: DD said it first by a hair.:notworthy:

Look for errors. One year there was a die crack through the eagle's tail. They (I think) call it the wounded eagle error.

While remote that one was removed from the card, I always check the 2000 P Sac. You just never know and they are easily distinguishable. In circulated condition (even if it wasn't circulated the manganese finish on the small dollars tarnishes and looks like crap easily), it wouldn't fetch $2500. It would take a hit in value, but $2000 would still be a nice return.

• 2000-P Wounded Eagle & Cheerios Dollar (Sac)
• 1979-P Wide Rim / Near Date (SBA)
• Any 1981 SBAs
• NIFC Sacs & Presidentials
• Any proofs

Just to name a few.....

'79-P SBA has some nice greasers and die crack errors...
have about 30 "close dates" in my stash(XF to AU++)...
found a pair of '00-P SACs with die clashes around eagle's head & motto (looks like lightning hitting eagle)...
sold a '00-P SAC for $75 with a reverse interior die break plus 7 die cracks on same coin...
the GW , Madison, Adams & Jeff also have a few assorted die cracks.......................
remember missing & doubled edge lettering on those issues-- A TOUGH FIND:BangHead:

To my earlier reply, the wife and I searched $275 MWRs of small dollars tonight. Here’s a few keepers for the backup folders.

That really rare quarter/dollar mule was a 2000P. It turned up in post office machines I believe. $30-50,000+ coin if u find one!
