While continuing to personally operate four separate businesses, TENNJOSH has continued his early and late short hunts with his F75 to the 1863 virgin U.S. CW Cavalry site that he discovered in July. He continues to dig Gallaghers, Sharps, round pistol balls, .44 Colt bullets, and other assorted CW bullets. Pic #1 is his overflow box. He's recently dug an Eagle GS button, button back, canteen spout, spur end, cap box brad, and a fairly rare pistol bullet. Pic # 2 (from his cell phone) is a .40 cal. Tranter Variant Revolver bullet. You may recall that Dman found a Tranter bullet near a spring used by Morgan's CSA Cavalry last winter as we hunted with Josh but his bullet had a more pointed nose. Tranter bullets are pretty rare finds here and were used by both sides as back up guns. Pic #3 is his full box that he has filled to capacity with many more relics since I posted it for him back in August.
Josh, Dman, and I got together and recently scouted a potential CS site but other than a dropped .577 cal. Enfield bullet, saddle cinch ring, part of a curry comb, and some early 1900 overall buttons from an old home site in the field, we left that site in the rear view mirror.
I believe Josh has recovered over 175 relics from the Cavalry site to date. WTG Josh and We'll get hunting full speed with you soon. Thanks for looking and HH, Quindy.
