Unusual Tot Lot Find......

Had about an hour before dark headed down to the beach. Didn't find much but checked out the tot lot on the way back. This chewing gum box sounded out quite loudly at about 6" deep. At first I thought junk but it was so heavy. It had 21 quarters, 13 dimes and 2 one dollar coins inside. It's a first for me

Awesome! I found an altoids mint tin in a tot lot a year ago. My kid must've been poorer than yours though! Got 18 memorials, 5 nickels, and 8 dimes. A lot were rust-welded together. One of my favorite finds! Grats on yours

I look inside all those types of tins I come across. My best find in them are some twigs and dirt the get in the holes that have rusted through. Great find. Never know what's hidden inside something else.
