Hi everyone I dug this interesting men’s ring in a western mining camp. Notice the naked girls on the sides! It’s stamped L&S in the band. Not silver. Looks very old. Does anyone have any information on this type of ring? Very cool. Looks like copper or bronze?

That's funny I dug that same ring a few years back in much worse shape mine is definitely brass. I always thought there was something missing from that hole in the middle. I found it at a Cellar hole that has been abandoned since the thirties or forties I figured it was from the 20s or 30s

Ok. I have been doing some research. Did yours have the L&S hallmark?

If you found it in Bodie, take it back. There's a curse on folks that take relics from that town.

I think it's from around the first quarter of the 20th c. It just looks like it's been in the elements for a long while.

I saw a show on that. People were mailing back old bottles and relics they picked up in Bodie in hopes the curse would end. The people they talked to who did take stuff from there were saying all kinds of terrible things began in their lives after they removed things from Bodie.

I didn’t find it there

MYSTERY NUDE WOMAN RING SOLVED
After much research I now know about this ring I dug in the Arizona desert. It is stamped L&S. It’s made by Levi and Salamon from Birmingham England! They started out making Gilt jewelry in 1870 which this ring is. So this dates it to the 1870’s because Not long after that they switched over to sterling silver up until around the teens. So my ring was most likely worn on a British miner working the Arizona mines. I know it’s not silver or gold, probably plated at one time but I feel it still has historical value.
