Granted, this plow is certainly well-post civil war. It's dated feb 1872. But as I understand it, George Watt (The plowman of the South) was born at the Watt House, ground zero of the Gaine's Mill battle of 1862. This plow came from nearby, in Hanover.

Thanks ya'll. I think it's amazing that he was up and running again, less than 2 years after the close of the war. "Swords into plowshares", I guess.
