Unusual Pendant! Any idea?

I found this pendant at the same site where i've found the old coins.

Loooks like a religious pendant...
Crude design... looks very old.
OR not that old and just crude design....
Regardless..
First side is Christ on Cross...
Other is Mary with Baby.... IMO

I began MDing only coins from 1800 and now i found a souvenir from 700. Can't believe it. It must be a joke!

I'm thinking more like 1600's. Still very old. At least by American standards...

It can be DC. It is more probable, but notice that mine is exactly the same of second on the second line on the photo. Yours is a little bit different. What do you think?

I must admit that the Santa Maria a Monte is a closer match than the example I posted. Of course you may draw your own conclusions.

But to me, the detail of your pendant says 17th Century.

No matter my opinion, it is still a rare and outstand find!

Well it screamed 17th C to me. If I found that in UK soil I would say 17th.

The issue is, that the nature of the pendants & the religious connection means they are probably still copying them to this day.

I'm convinced that is 17th century. They still copy them, that's right. The difference is on the metal.
Old times they were from bronze. Mine doesn't look like bronze.
