I found this at a garage sale yesterday, and it has me intrigued. It is probably not very valuable, but has just stumped any efforts on my part to identify it. At first I thought it was made of stainless steel, but it is not magnetic so I assume it is chromed brass. The greenish highlights seen in the photos are an artifact of my camera and doesn't show up in real life. There is a lot of lettering on it but I can't make out any single word only individual letters. A few ideas I already investigated with no luck are; a drawing of Leonardo Da Vinci, A porugese navigational medallion, and a balistic drawing. On one side in the first picture appear the words "Alphad" and then "Cruiga" or "Cruga" directly beneath. There is also lettering all around the borders of both sides. Any ideas?
p.s. It is slightly smaller than a fifty cent piece.
