Hey Gang, I found this round thingie in an area that has produced items from 1850 to present. It has 2 pieces, and the center piece is held with 3 tabs, which originally was 4. The outside looks brass, and the inside piece scratched a silver/gray colored metal. On the front there are 2 very slight indentations, which look deliberate. I thought it might be some type of jewelry; perhaps part of a brooch, but I don't see any place of attachment unless the pin was located on another piece that fit underneath the tabs. Tabs and jewelry don't really go together anyway. Thanks in advance for any ideas or help.
