Found on North Shore Nassau County unusually large horse shoe 7.5 inches long and 6.5 wide at widest point.
Is in area where I have found square rose head nails and appears to be old iron. Not sure age and shoe has one
or two nails still in place. Would love to have some help IDing it. Thanks in advance.

Agree.
From the web:
A
horseshoe for a full-grown Clydesdale measures more than 51 cm (22 in.) from end to end and weighs about 2.3 kg (5 lb.). It's more than two times as long and four times as heavy as shoes worn by a riding horse.
