Detector(s) used
Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Looked out on the front yard the other night, and mixed right in with the
raccoons was a big 'ol possum. Oddly, the coons didn't seem to mind
it one bit..not so much as a warning growl telling it to keep it's distance.
A few minutes after this they were just inches apart, and acted like they
were old buddies.

And then this one shows up...

Now, I do try to be kind to critters, but as hard as I try I'll never think of a
possum as "cute", and as possum's go, this one is the ugliest of them all.
It's skull seems especially narrow, and it's got a big eye on each side. Not
to mention a mouthful of teeth and the personality of a rock.

In truth, I'd much prefer the 'coons be intolerant, and chase both of 'em
completely out of their territory. :laughing7:

They get in my barn and pee and crap all over my square bales of hay. I then have to destroy the hay they do it on . There deposits are VERY DANGEROUS to horses. One thing is EPM. EPM is a neurologic disease that horses get from eating infected opossum feces.

I will take the opossums. They don't get rabies are almost immune to venomous snake bites and eat ticks. I don't have any hay so they are welcome in my yard. I wish they would chase the raccoons and armadillos off.

When they show up in my barn I will call you and you can come and get them. I will put out live tyraps ok ?
