I took my E Trac to a field I've hit dozens of times where an old homesite once stood. I've dug a few large cents, hard times tokens, KGII's, and some silver from this site but not many buttons. I changed my disc pattern on the detector and after about half an hour I popped out this guy!
It's a New York coat button! I found it in southeast MA which was a big surprise for me.
The funniest thing is I just returned from DIV where I found my first civil war finds ever, including a New York button. Then, the week I come back I dug one up here! This is why I love the hobby!
