Unknown Type of Iron Buckle

I just found this iron buckle and have no idea what it was used for. I've never found or seen one quite like it. It's 4 inches in length with 5 teeth. Part of the top if missing but I think you can get the picture of what it looked like complete. If you've found one before or know what this is or have a guess, let me know. Thanks as always for any help.

That does remind me of a suspender buckle. It's just bigger than any suspender buckle I've ever seen. But maybe so.

True, now that I see your fingers. Possibly a similarly-functioning buckle that's just horse tack?
