unknown silver coin/tag???

Found these two today, I'm not sure what the scovill thing is, it looks like the number 10 is stamped into it though. If the pictures are rotated I don't know why it happens when I mobile upload.

I found this and I think it's the same company. They had company tokens in the 1800's. May be worth some further research! [emoji2]

scovill was a huge name in the button manufatuiring business --still is to this day--- that's a factory workers numbered chit * (he was NO 10 ..---- when you came in the morning to work you handed it in, and the clerk "logged you in" and placed it on a numbered peg board ..(thus the hole in it) .---- as you "checked out" for the day --when you left you got it back == and the clerk "logged you out" --- they kept track the number of hours worked that way

the other seems to be a catholic religious medal from 1925 *

SO thats where the saying, "Someone is worth a chit" came from?
