Unknown religious medalion, maybe Catholic?

Found this a few weeks ago and just came across it again. I'm guessing it's Catholic, it's marked Sterling as well. It has some writting around the figures, the one I can read says "Our Lady Mount Carmel Pray For Us". If anybody can tell me anything about it that would be great, age, origin.... Thanks in advance for any help

It doesn't necessarily mean that the medal itself was from Mt. Carmel. The religious medal could have been bought here in the USA, depicting the holy event.
