I found this with a buddy this weekend who is brand new to detecting, and let him keep it. It is a very shiny metal that we think is stainless steel or possibly even silver. It reads (Federal Research credit union 50th anniversary) my friend loves this piece, and would really like to know more about it. If anyone has any ideas, please let us know. (Sorry if the picture isn't too clear he only sent me 1)

Looks like part of a advertizing key chain/fob.

I believe doublet2a is correct in saying it's some type of key ring. Something similar to this:

It's just an idea but I'm guessing it's an advertisement gift given to customers. Could it be a dollar bill clip that was originally attached to a coin purse by a small chain via the hole ?

Research Federal Credit Union, Warren, Michigan, established 1936. The piece is 28 years old.
