UPDATE! possibility might say CZ?
I have this ring that says 18K CE not sure what it means. Has a purple stone and coloration looks strange. CM170410-203415002.webp

Could it possibly say 18K GE? if so, this is what I found on Google:

"When 18 KT GE is inscribed on a ring, it means that the ring is an 18 karat gold electroplate. Electroplate refers to a thin layer of gold, at least 7 millionths of an inch, that is bonded to a base metal, commonly brass."

Your purple stone is probably Amethyst but it definitely says GE the copper showing through gives it away as an electroplated ring.Sorry

Ya even the finish looks like it was gold layered only... Still a keeper for the ring box... Nice find..

also heard that CE could mean CHROME ELECTROPLATED?!

If that was the case the ring would shine like a bumper with a silver color in your pic it looks as though it had a gold color before the copper showed through.
