Unknown iron object

Found at 1800's homesite. Appears to be hand-forged. May be broken off at the end.

It looks to be a pick that has been bent.

Looks like a piece broken off of the end of a wrought iron door hasp.

It does, but the object does not have much mass, and if was mounted on a handle it would have been a lightweight application.

I was hoping you would view my post as you know a lot about identifying horse tack and other iron objects. Thanks for your input!
