found this while out detecting last night.one of the guys at my club meeting said he thinks its late 1800's but couldn't remember exactly what it was.some sort of toiletry item.when i do a search everything comes up in french.

Looks like a pot lid for some sort of cosmetic, tooth paste/powder, salve, etc.
