Unknown Emblem???

Hello all,,,
Found this a few days ago at a fairly old site. It doesn't look all that old with a newer foam rubber adhesive on the back, but it was found at a depth of about 5" down in an area that has not been touch in years? Seems to be made of aluminum with a gold tent. The pic of the reverse is very bad, low light again, I guess... I'm thinking some kind of an emblem for something, but I don't recognize it...

Definitely for that orginization and it does look to be a modern emblem for a vehicle?. Now, I'm just trying to figure out how it got so deep, so quick... I don't think this area has been touched since the early 70's at least...? and it looks to be something newer than even that...

I was thinking you must have found it near a road but,
I can't imagine it would fly too far if it came off a vehicle.
I have one Kinda like that only "Blue" they are very light.

Maybe some kid out collecting hood ornaments and emblems chucked it.
