Unknown dog tag? Lion and BG on crest? Help!!

Hey guys found this detecting in a place used from the late 1800s until the early 1960s. Found a real old tag just unsure of what it is please help!'

Neat find! Something like this was posted a few years ago and solved by member PBK as being a charge coin tag for Gimbel Brothers department store in Philadelphia.

Gimbels Charge Coin - Gimbel Brothers (Gimbels) was an iconic American department store from 1887 through the late 20th century. Well known for creating the Gimbels Thanksgiving Day Parade, the oldest parade in the country, Gimbels was also once the largest department store chain in the country. Gimbels likely introduced store "charge coins" in the 1920's and continued their use until the 1940's when metal credit cards came into fashion.
