Greetings,

My buddy is stumped on this one. He found it today and came looking for help. I have no idea what it is either. you can only really make out one side, the other is toasted, but you can make out a right facing head with something on top... (crown, wreath?).

Here's the other side...

Are those Fleur de lis in the middle?

Thanks for your help. ???

Looks to be a late 18th C Halfpenny Token, maybe Canadian. If you go this route, it may get IDed.

Spain Maravedis, but the rest of the ID depends on the size and monarch.

Actually pretty common and the design was used for a lot of years. I dug one about 2 years ago, and one or two before that.

Not over here, although might be common everywhere else:dontknow:

I have three of them that are in a friend's collection of coins and tokens that I have been cataloging over the summer. All three are different, perhaps you can match the bust size with one of the three in my photo to narrow down the date range. They are dated 1799, 1820 and 1829, the 1829 is also a tad smaller than the other two.

I mean common as far as mintage and value, but I know some are found there because I have seen them. I only have two for sure, and it could easily be zero because they are an unlikely coin to find here as well. I see them a lot in UK non dug collections as well.
