Posted these in today’s finds too.

Found on a late 18th - early 19th century site. Had activity up to the mid 1900s.

One Is a rounded cone shape. Almost like a Hershey kiss. The second piece is a tubular shape. Hollow on one end and almost keyed to overlap another piece. Both have a bright green patina.

The button item isn’t a typical flat button. Flat shaped, front has a rope border. The design appear to almost be an interlocking wing design. The back has no markings. The shank is a tubular shank with some ridges around the top and bottom. If not a button maybe a rivet?

Unfortunately, your 'rope-edge button' on the right looks more likely to be a 20thc clothing snap or rivet.
It looks to be made of white metal, so possibly dating from the 1920s - 30s? :icon_scratch:

The second fragment looks to be bronze and like it came from the top potion of a barrel tap/spigot.

I’d say you’re right. I was leaning towards that for the button. The design and post/shank just don’t look that old.

And the barrel tap is neat and a great id. I’ve actually been wanting to find some tap pieces.

This piece could have come from any number of things really, it just reminded me of the top portion of a barrel tap. :dontknow:

At least you know you're onto a site that dates to the early 19thc.
